Project Manager – Legislative Projects

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a legislative-driven project in the Superannuation domain. This role will focus on ensuring timely, compliant, and stakeholder-aligned implementation of regulatory and legislative changes mandated by government or industry bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end project management of legislative change initiatives in superannuation
  • Interpret regulatory requirements (e.g., APRA, ASIC, Treasury) and translate them into business impacts and implementation plans
  • Develop and manage project schedules, scope, risks, and budgets
  • Lead cross-functional teams including compliance, legal, operations, and IT
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, regulators, and internal governance bodies
  • Ensure timely delivery of artefacts including business requirements, solution designs, testing plans, and change management deliverables
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and updates to program boards or steering committees
  • Manage dependencies with other projects or product releases

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on financial services or superannuation
  • Proven track record delivering legislative or regulatory change programs
  • Solid understanding of superannuation regulations, compliance, and fund operations
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile/Hybrid)
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience in risk management, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership
  • Strong documentation, governance, and reporting capability

Desirable (Bonus) Skills:

  • Familiarity with APRA, Treasury reforms, or YFYS / RIC / DDO compliance
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) or PMP/PRINCE2
  • Background in business analysis or change management
  • Experience in enterprise-scale super funds or platform providers
